About Brian Bell
Brian Bell is loved by reining fans for the powerful performances he is known for. Time and time again, Bell combines speed, athleticism, and precision, the key ingredients for his winning runs.
One of the youngest trainers in the business, Bell has already won more than $737,000 in the reining show pen, and has consistently ranked in the top 20 of the nation's top reining horse trainers. He has won more than 100 NRHA bronze championship trophies and has already garnered four NRHA (National Reining Horse Association) world titles.
A professional horse trainer specializing in reining events, Brian Bell is widely recognized for his accomplishments in the equine industry. He is an active member and competitor in the National Reining Horse Association, United States Equestrian Team, and the American Quarter Horse Association.
Brian's natural training talent became apparent as just a youth rider. He was the first NRHA youth incentive winner. Headlines screamed when at the early age of 18, he won the prestigious All American Quarter Horse Congress Non Pro Futurity, beating out riders twice his age.
In 1996, Brian was featured in "The Reiner" magazine, the official publication of the National Reining Horse Association as a trainer that was "on the way up." Well, they were right! Since then, Brian has earned in excess of $737,000 in NRHA, AQHA, and affiliate reining competition, and more than $5,000 in USET earnings.
Brian has established himself as one of the industry's most talented trainers and has already claimed more than 100 reining championships during his career. In 2006 alone, he won over $200,000, the NRHA Open Futurity Reserve Championship and and NRHA World Championship!
Brian started his own training business in Phoenix, Arizona. In 1998, Brian relocated to his home state on the East Coast where he now owns and operates Brian Bell Performance Horses, in Smithfield, North Carolina. With clients from New York to California, Brian trains both young and aged horses for the sport of reining.
He has competed at the most prestigious reining events in the world, including the USET Reining Championship Finals, the NRHA Futurity, NRHA Derby, All American Quarter Horse Congress, American Paint Horse Association World Show and the first ever United States Equestrian Team Reining Pro Am Championship.
In the spring of 1999, Brian was invited by Purina to conduct a training seminar on "Equine Training: Problem Solving" at the North Carolina State Fairgrounds. In Fall 2001 he was featured in a full color how-to training article in "Performance Horse" magazine and is scheduled to appear in upcoming issues of the magazine.
In 2002, Brian captured the NRHA Novice Horse Open World Title on Ms Nimble Enterprise. In 2003, Brian made NRHA history when he showed A Smart Enterprise to win the NRHA OPEN WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP. Brian and A Smart Enterprise won more open championship classes in a single show season than any horse in the history of the National Reining Horse Association, formed in 1966.
In 2004, Brian earned yet another World Championship title in the Novice Horse Open Division awarded by the National Reining Horse Association.
